Custom tiles made in Tasmania

I create custom ceramic tiles for clients, from single feature pieces to full walls. Every tile is shaped by hand in Hobart using repurposed materials like hospitality byproducts, construction waste, and local rocks and sandstone.

Made to order with sizes and glazes developed for your space, the work stays tactile, earthy and quietly bold. I also collaborate with furniture designers to build cohesive pieces that share the same material honesty.

  • Every project begins with a conversation, where we discuss your space, style, and vision. I then experiment with shapes, textures, and glazes, often incorporating locally sourced materials. Once the design is finalised, I handcraft each tile in my studio. While the process takes time, handmade tiles offer a depth and character that you won’t find anywhere else.

  • I use reclaimed and locally collected materials like hospitality waste, construction offcuts, and igneous rocks and sandstone. These materials not only reduce environmental impact but also infuse each tile with a connection to Tasmania’s landscape and history.

  • Crafting handmade tiles takes time. Depending on the project’s size and complexity, most custom tile orders take a minimum of 8 weeks. If you have a shorter timeline let me know, and I’ll do my best to accommodate it.

  • Custom tiles are both beautiful and durable. Fired at high temperatures, they’re built to last. Caring for them is simple — just wipe them with a soft cloth and mild cleaner.

  • Because each project is bespoke, final costs vary depending on size, materials, and design complexity. After we’ve discussed your project, I’ll provide a detailed quote and timeline.
