Custom tiles made in Tasmania
I work with clients to create custom ceramic tiles — from one-off pieces to full walls. Each tile is shaped by hand in Hobart using repurposed materials, including hospitality byproducts, construction waste, and locally sourced rocks and sandstone.
Made to order, with custom sizes and glazes developed for your space, the result is always tactile — raw, earthy, and full of quiet drama. I also collaborate with furniture designers to create cohesive, grounded pieces that share the same material honesty..

Every project begins with a conversation, where we discuss your space, style, and vision. I then experiment with shapes, textures, and glazes, often incorporating locally sourced materials. Once the design is finalised, I handcraft each tile in my studio. While the process takes time, handmade tiles offer a depth and character that you won’t find anywhere else.
-
I use reclaimed and locally collected materials like hospitality waste, construction offcuts, and igneous rocks and sandstone. These materials not only reduce environmental impact but also infuse each tile with a connection to Tasmania’s landscape and history.
-
Crafting handmade tiles takes time. Depending on the project’s size and complexity, most custom tile orders take 3–8 weeks. If you have a shorter timeline let me know, and I’ll do my best to accommodate it.
-
Custom tiles are both beautiful and durable. Fired at high temperatures, they’re built to last. Caring for them is simple — just wipe them with a soft cloth and mild cleaner.

Because each project is bespoke, final costs vary depending on size, materials, and design complexity. After we’ve discussed your project, I’ll provide a detailed quote and timeline.
